"Festival of Busiata", traditional food and wine event, takes place in the narrow alleys of the old town of Salemi (TP) and attracts every year thousands of visitors.
In sampling points located in the historic center, you can taste the special-made pasta according to the variations offered by culinary chefs in the race, all washed down with wines from local companies.
Challenge to the "cooker" between chefs of local restaurants will cook more than 600 pounds of pasta.
The "busiate" owe their name to the so-called "busa", the knitting needle used by housewives to carry them out. The ´Busa "allows hollow pasta, facilitating the penetration of water during boiling.
The event will take place in the streets "G. Falcone" Buseto Palizzolo.
